Bringing youth voice to ACTION
Youth Advisory Council

Focusing on the prevention of substance abuse, The Youth Advisory Council brings youth voice to action through a variety of programs including community outreach, media campaigns, classroom presentations, youth mentoring, public testimony and special events.

YouthLine Teen Crisis Line

The YouthLine is a free and confidential teen-to-teen crisis line offering help and resources for teens and their families. We don’t judge them or downplay their issues, we just listen and support!

Our Data, Our Voice

Students become teen activists in their High School by challenging false perceptions on teen substance use.  Through the use of media and marketing, students add their own unique perspective to both, and change how their community thinks about, and understands, drug and alcohol use in their own school.

Satellite Teams

Offsite, teens localize their drug and alcohol prevention work in smaller teams by school or organized youth groups.   These satellite teams implement projects relevant to the issues they face on a regular basis in their own communities.

Youth Mentoring

Together with other youth, teens work alongside adult professionals to develop and implement drug and alcohol prevention programs.  Teens bond with other teens and adult mentors to build confidence and develop personal skills that empower them to make healthy life choices.
